The Exaltation of The Original Woman: A Dive Into The Primordial Feminine Energy
Where did it all start?
Or is the deeper question, where did it all end?
At what point did women stop being revered, honored and protected?
At what point did we start being controlled?
Before doctrine.
Before hierarchy.
Before conquest and control.
There was the original woman.
It is she that I exalt, it is she that I honour.
The source.
The physical embodiment of wisdom and the key to life.
The chief producer of food and medicine.
The holder of the most powerful energy on earth, which the ancients paid homage to - the primordial feminine energy.
This truth was not revealed to me until I pushed back against the status quo. When I started to question the boxes society placed women in long before I was born; what we are, what are aren't; what can do and what we can't.
This cannot be it.
What was life like before the discrimination? Before organized religion and suppression?
It led me down a never-ending rabbit-hole.
Eons ago, prior to the persecution and domestication of the feminine, she was not seen as "soft and mute"; she was revered as a cosmic regulator by the ancient peoples.
The original woman and her portal was so highly revered, that the ancients collectively, all across the world, believed if she is imbalanced the entire universe would collapse.
There's a tendency to paint the narrative that the ancients were primitive and simple minded, hence why they held women at such a high esteem. I beg to differ.
The civilizations that honored the feminine as a cosmic regulator were not unlearned peoples stumbling in the dark. They were astronomers, herbalists, architects, mathematicians, kingdom builders and world conquerors. They tracked the stars, mapped the seasons, understood cycles of birth, decay, and renewal with a sophistication we still struggle to replicate today.
They knew that life itself moves in rhythms
It ebbs and flows
It rises and falls back
Expansions and contractions
Life itself mirrored the woman, and consequently, the source of life itself was viewed as woman or as a primordial feminine principle..
The sex of the dieties was determined by the sex that was revered. This was not birthed from ignorance, but through their observations of biology and cosmic order.
It is then of no surprise, that from the beginning of time, spanning from Asia to Europe, to Africa, and as far as Australia, "God" was viewed as a woman, as a primordial feminine principle. Excavations worldwide have revealed sculptures and temples giving veneration to a mother goddess with breasts and vaginas, some even depicting her on her cycle or breastfeeding. These Goddesses had several names, ranging from "Creatress of Heaven", "Queen of Heaven", " Lioness of the Sacred Assembly", "Great Goddess", "Lady of the Universe", "Sovereign of Heaven", amongst many other names.
This was a time when menstruation was seen as communion and a living testimony to a woman's power. The woman was free.
Homes were matriarchal, and inheritances were matrilineal.
Her womb was studied, not ostracised.
Her cycles were honored and not seen as an inconvenience.
So I ask again:
How did this become dangerous knowledge?
At what point did reverence turn into regulation?
At what point did was the feminine subdued?
Then there was a great shift....
The breakdown of the status of the original woman was not accidental. It was a strategic intent. With the advent of organized religion, invasions, hierarchy and conquest, the feminine was toppled.
Intuition became madness
Goddesses became myths
Wisdom became witchcraft
Sacredness became suspicious
Autonomy became threat
And what was once cosmic, has plummeted into nothingness
Through laws. Through doctrines. Through fear. Through shame.
She was not erased but rebranded...
What is often misunderstood is usually discriminated or destroyed. The ancient reverence for the Mother goddess was not a resistance against the masculine.
The goddess was rarely seen alone. She was almost always accompanied by her masculine counterpart, not as a ruler BUT as a protector, her witness, her aid and her stabiliser.
Isis and Osiris
Shakti and Shiva
Creation was viewed as a divine balance, not as a dominance, requiring each for perfect harmony.
The original woman, the embodiment of primordial feminine energy, was revered not in isolation, but in perfect balance with her masculine counterpart. In ancient cultures, like the Indian and Essene traditions, the divine was often seen as a genderless, all-parenting spirit, embodying both masculine and feminine principles.
In Hinduism, Brahma, the creator, is not confined to a single gender but operates through feminine principles of creation and nurturing. Similarly, in the Essene Nazarene belief systems, the divine consciousness is described as an "All-parenting Spirit", capable of embodying both mother and father energies, ensuring a balanced and nurturing presence.
These spiritual systems emphasise that the divine balance was not merely a theoretical concept but a lived reality, where the feminine and masculine energies were intertwined. The suppression of this balance with the advent of organised religion and patriarchal structures created a distortion that we continue to navigate today.
Compare the aforementioned with what we now consider "God" today. An all-powerful, solo, male God-head ruling creation, void of the feminine counterpart. This is in direct contradiction of the very laws of nature it claims to govern. Can there be life without balance? Or can life as we know it be sustained by a single force in isolation??
I believe that in its truest form, "God" is neither male nor female but a harmonious blend of both energies, a balance that was honored and understood by our ancestors.
And despite the efforts to diminish the original woman,
She still remains
She is seen in our mothers who nurture and create
She is seen in our grandmothers who used herbs to heal and has sound wisdom
She is seen in our midwives who support birthing women
She is seen in the women who refuse to shrink
She is seen in the women who refuse to be silent
She is seen in you
She is seen in me
She was never destroyed, only buried.
And what is buried, eventually will rise and bloom
Your body and your emotions are not burdens
Your intuition is not imaginary
Your power is not to be tamed
There is an ancient intelligence being carried within your womb, within your cycle, that must be reconnected to. Listen., return and honor that truth within your body
To exalt the original woman is not to reduce the masculine; do not be misled.
It is simply to restore balance.
Striking the balance between the masculine and feminine principles, I believe, will unveil a world unimaginable, times we have never yet seen. As we turn the spotlight within and heal, releasing the grievances of the past, a new world will rise from the ashes of old systems and strongholds that did not serve our perfect balance. The dawn of a new era awaits us, one where our children and their children will inherit a world of peace and perfect balance.
And it all begins with us, today.... right now
We are blessed with the opportunity to be the catalysts of change.
My heart yearns to see a world like this.
Until then, let the path keep unfolding through us.
Blessed love,
A 🧿🪶
